Credit Card Chargebacks

I shop on the Internet all the time. I even prefer online shopping over going to the mall for example. Of course, something can always go wrong and for instance I was charged twice for my online purchase several months ago and I was glad that I was able to get my money back thanks to the honest seller. With my experiences being rather positive, I know that not everything is rosy on the Internet and that credit card chargebacks happen to online sellers all the time.

Only because I am an honest person and would never charge back any amount of money I already paid doesn’t mean that others are as honest as I am. I have heard horror stories being told by those unlucky sellers who got charged in the past and who keep being charged over and over again. Poor guys don’t really know what to do about it. What is more, the Internet and banking institutions almost always favor the customer, which means that if somebody calls his bank to cancel a transaction, he is likely to have it canceled by his bank and get his money back.

It seems that sellers might be able to see a ray of sunshine again. It turns out that there are some way sellers can be protected from chargebacks after all. You just have to discover those ways and try them out for yourself. You have nothing to lose as long as you are one of those luckless sellers who keeps falling victim of customers charging you back all the time. It seems that you might not be completely out of luck when it comes to this and that luck is at your side again.

I don’t think I am ever going to stop selling online. Being an online seller has been my hobby for some time and I don’t think anything is going to stop me from doing what I like to do so much. I make a small amount of money from selling online and I like to have contact with my customers. Of course, chargebacks happen to me from time to time, but I know how to deal with them.

It was a paid post. All the points and views are my own.
