Hot Water

I happened to run out of hot water a few times when I needed it the most. I do not like when it happens, but I am aware that the only solution I should consider is a tankless heater. I have heard before that some plumbers are ready to install and take care of maintenance of tankless heaters in the area. Many people live in areas where hot water is sometimes in high demand. Anyway, it has always amazed me how tankless heaters work. I found a very good description of how those heaters work on Wikipedia. The whole process of heating water is very easy. When you open your hot water tap, water instantly enters your tankless heater. Since a water flow sensor detects the water flow, it starts heating it immediately. The water starts circulating through the heat exchanger, which means that it is being heated within a few seconds. That way a person can always have hot water without the risk that he or she might run out of hot water in the middle of a shower. After reading how it works, I am still wondering why people use conventional hot water tanks.
