Those who are interested in online computer games, including online roleplaying games, know that Warhammer Online was released September last year. Along with other titles that were published such as Age of Conan, last year was quite a good year for MMORPG enthusiasts.

Generally speaking, I think that what is really fun for people is to compete with others, but also cooperate at the same time. Another element that is important is the ability to measure your results. When it comes to other activities besides computer games, it seems that sports match this description. When you play football, you compete with others, but on the other hand you also cooperate with your team. There is also a clear way to measure your score. The clear way to measure the score makes the game interesting, because it adds even more excitement and competition between teams. The reason why I am talking about sports is because Warhammer is built on the same principles, and that you are going to get a lot of excitement from the game while making friends, but also competing with others. Instead of sport teams you have Realms, but the way it works is very similar. Warhammer Online was released September last year, and it already sold one million copies.

Building a Community

Building a community should be one of the most important goals of a blogger. As a blogger, you want to spread your views on various topics and give advice to people; however, to achieve this you need to have many readers. You need to create a blog that will encourage people to join your community. This can be accomplished by writing posts that have some of the following characteristics:

  • Ask questions in your posts. This is in my opinion the best way to encourage your readers to contribute something to your website. People like to be engaged in a discussion and they like it when someone wants to listen to their opinion.
  • Give advice to your visitors. Visitors like this, especially if it is useful advice. That is why most of the top articles on Digg or similar websites give some useful advice.
  • Provide your opinion on something that your readers can add something to. Allow them to express themselves. Make them feel like you actually want to listen to them.
  • Taking questions from readers and answering them in your post is a good idea as well. Is there anything that you were asked in comments, but did not ever respond for some reason?

    Is playing games often associated with laughter? Measuring how often people laugh while playing games would be an interesting study to conduct. There are many games that are filled with humor, but it seems that the majority of games are action oriented. Actually, most people when they think of games, they might think of games filled with violence. However, it does not mean all games are like this. For example, Sam&Max and Jack Keane are the examples of games that are fun to play and are filled with humor. Even the recent bestseller, namely Grand Theft Auto IV, contains many jokes and parodies of cultural symbols, even though the game generally is focused on action. Let us hope that there will be more games in the future that will make us laugh.

    There is an interesting website I came across, specifically BloggersChoiceAwards. It is a website that allows users to vote on blogs in different categories such as Best Celebrity Blogger, Best Religion Blog, and Best Blog Design. There are many other categories as well, I believe a few dozen in total. I think that with so many categories it should be easy to find blogs which you would have interest in. If you want to be famous, or if you are looking for a challenge, then you can submit your own blog and hope that your blog will be nominated with the most votes possible.

    On the other hand, if you are looking to contribute in a different way, you are free to leave comments. In the future, I expect to see more and more websites that give some sort of awards. I noticed that when a website of this type launches, it very often wants to receive valuable backlinks. I do not have anything against it, but many of the websites which give some sort of rewards do it in order to receive backlinks. If you do not mind to put the reward on the homepage of your blog, it is alright.

    Selling Other People�s Products

    If you do not have a product to sell on the Internet, it is a good idea to sell the products of other people. For many people, this is a perfect idea to start a new business. If they do not have any ideas to create their own products, they can always help others sell their products and earn commissions. Selling other people�s products has many advantages, but also some disadvantages. I would like to mention a few of them in this post:

    -Selling other people�s products is relatively easy. All you have to do is to set up a website, do some marketing and promotion, and everything is ready to launch. Very often, you will not be required to invest any money in your business, especially if you plan to sell digital products such as games or music.
    -By selling other people�s products, you avoid being responsible for their products. If a producer of that item fails to deliver what he promised, you are not going to be responsible for it as you are only a reseller.
    -You do not have to worry if the manufacturer of products you sell goes bankrupt. Of course, this will mean the end of your business, but you can always move on and start making money with a new product manufactured by somebody else.
    -The thing that you might not like about selling other people�s products is that you will always know that somebody is using you to make money. Usually, commissions in affiliate marketing are far from being impressive. Knowing that the manufacturers of products you sell make a lot more money than you can push you into deciding to create a product of your own.
